Understand first. Then build.
CORIT is a founder-led development studio. We design and build websites, software, mobile apps and automation, and every project starts the same way: by learning how your business actually works.
We work with businesses at different stages on different kinds of problems, from a first website to replacing software that stopped scaling.
They made the whole process easy from start to finish. They understood what we needed, brought our ideas to life, and gave us a website that works exactly the way we wanted.
Sodding Canada Client
They took the time to understand our brand and what we wanted the experience to feel like. The final site looks great and gave us a much stronger foundation to build from.
Masquerade NYC Client
They brought both the creative and technical sides together really well. They listened to what we needed and delivered a site that feels like a real reflection of our business.

Too much gets lost
between the call and the code.
At most agencies, the person who hears your problem isn't the person who solves it. Your goals pass from sales to an account manager to a project manager before they reach a developer, and a little of what you meant drops out at every step. What comes back works on paper and misses the point.
CORIT was set up to take those steps out. The same person hears the problem, makes the technical calls and writes the code, so what you asked for and what gets built stay the same thing.
What we believe.
Four convictions that shape every project, whatever the size or budget.
Understanding comes before code
The right answer depends on how your business works, so that's where every project starts. Not with a tech stack.
Complexity has to earn its place
Every moving part is one more thing to maintain and pay for. If something simpler does the job, that's what gets recommended.
Design and engineering are one job
How it looks and how it works are decided together, so neither gets traded away for the other.
Built for year five, not launch day
Decisions made so the next feature, hire or integration is an addition, not a rebuild.
How a project actually runs.
Five steps from the first conversation to a live product, and what you get at each one.
Discovery
We learn how your business runs, who will use what we build and what success looks like, before any code is written.
Strategy
You get a plan: architecture, scope, timeline and the tradeoffs explained in plain language, before you commit.
Design & development
Interface, front end, back end and integrations are built side by side, so what looks right also works right.
Testing
Performance, accessibility, responsiveness and reliability are checked before launch, so your customers don't find the problems first.
Launch & growth
It goes live documented and monitored, with support available as the product grows.

What working with us
is actually like.
No jargon, no surprises, no disappearing act.
Answers in plain language
Technical decisions explained in terms of cost, time and risk, so the big calls stay yours.
Honest recommendations
If something isn't worth building, you'll hear it, even when that means a smaller project.
A clear picture, start to finish
The approach, timeline and what it's going to take, agreed before work starts. Then your own client portal keeps progress, files and approvals in one place.
Questions answered by the person who knows
No ticket queue and no "let me check with the team". The answer comes from the person who made the decision.
Proven tools, chosen for the job.
We use a consistent stack because proven, well-supported tools are easier to maintain, easier to hand off and less likely to surprise you later. What a project uses depends on what it actually needs.

Meet Corey.
Designer by training, engineer by trade.
CORIT is led by Corey Rotstein, a full stack developer and solutions architect based in Vaughan, Ontario. Corey trained in web design and interactive media at Humber College, then spent 8+ years building websites, SaaS platforms, e-commerce and mobile apps, inside agencies and directly with clients.
Across those roles, the work kept coming back to the same thing: leading technical discovery, turning business goals into technical plans, and helping non-technical people understand the tradeoffs before anything gets built. CORIT puts that whole job in one place.
In earlier roles, that work showed up in the numbers: a component framework that sped up development by 50%+ across an agency's projects, page loads about 25% faster, and a 200+ item backlog cleared with the team.
Corey also builds products. BrokerOps, an AI-powered operations platform for insurance brokerages, was designed, built and launched in-house.
